Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded to the words of German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock that the behavior of her Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov at the G20 summit demonstrates Moscow's unwillingness to talk. She wrote about this in Telegram.
 
"Do you even understand what she's talking about? Outside of which room? What utter nonsense," Zakharova was indignant, commenting on Berbok's words that Lavrov spent most of the negotiations not indoors, but outside. According to her, German citizens should know that the German Foreign Minister is deceiving them.
 
As Zakharova explained, from the moment the meeting began, Lavrov was in the hall, and two hours later he began holding bilateral talks with colleagues in the next room. She stressed that other ministers had done the same. "Or, according to Burbok, the foreign ministers of Indonesia, Argentina, Brazil and other countries were also in the wrong room?" — she wondered.
 
In addition, a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the plan of the "Big Seven" countries to boycott Russia at the G20 summit failed. In her opinion, Western countries "have not been supported by anyone," so they "proceed with malice."
